Hayfield Cottage, part of the NW Care Group, is a beautifully restored Victorian home designed to be a warm, safe, and happy place for children and staff. Every room has been thoughtfully created to make life here both comfortable and fun.

Marsland House is filled with a variety of welcoming rooms, each carefully designed to meet different needs and create a sense of belonging:

Living Room
A cozy hub for relaxing, playing games, or spending time with friends and caregivers. With comfy seating and activities to enjoy, it’s the heart of the home.

Dining Room
Mealtimes are special at Hayfield Cottage. The dining room is where everyone comes together to share good food, conversation, and laughter.

Kitchen
Our modern, fully equipped kitchen is where delicious, healthy meals are prepared. Children are encouraged to get involved and learn valuable cooking skills.

Conservatory
A peaceful retreat designed to help you relax and unwind whenever you need a calm, quiet space.

Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms, each thoughtfully decorated to feel welcoming and comfortable. Children are encouraged to personalise their rooms so they truly feel at home.

Staff Bedroom/Office
Caregivers are always close by, thanks to a dedicated room that doubles as a staff office and bedroom.

Main Bathroom
Alongside private bathrooms, we also have a shared main bathroom that is kept clean, bright, and comfortable.

Rob Taberner - Registered Manager

Rob Taberner is an experienced and compassionate childcare professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in the public and social care sectors. His expertise in safeguarding, risk management, and compliance is complemented by his leadership skills, honed during his time as a Registered Manager for a children’s home, where he significantly improved practice and outcomes, including enhancing risk assessments and driving staff development.

Guy Larkin - Deputy Manager

With over 25 years of experience in education, pastoral care, and leadership, Guy is a dedicated and highly skilled Deputy Manage, specialising in supporting vulnerable and neurodiverse young people. Beginning his career as a Physical Education teacher, he quickly progressed through a series of leadership roles, including Head of Year, Head of Intervention Strategies, and Associate Senior Leader at Altrincham College of Arts.
